Rush and Recruitment

Membership in Theta Chi is a painless process. As with the other Greek houses on campus, being a member of Theta Chi is an honor that speaks volumes. We take pride knowing that our members are consistently among the best scholars, leaders and athletes on campus, and Recruitment is your opportunity to become part of not only our Fraternity, but of a group of young men eager to be your friends.

What is Rush?

Recruitment, also referred to as Rush or Pledging, is a combination between an informal week-long string of events. We take you out for nights of trap shooting, bowling, paint ball, lazer tag and more... naturally, there is always plenty of food and drink to go around for everyone—come for the events or the food, or at the least just to meet other incoming students and upperclassmen.

The fun doesn't stop after Recruitment Week, though! You're always free to come over to the house and hang out with us at any time. We'd love to see you over for a free lunch (get away from the campus cafeteria and check out our cook!) or dinner, or just come over at night to play video games or just hang out.

How do I Join?

At any time after Recruitment Week, you can make the decision to pledge Theta Chi. This step is only a commitment to learn more about us and is by no means a binding, final decision. Once accepted, you'll go through several weeks where you will be taught more about Theta Chi and, eventually, be intiated into our great Fraternity. Throughout this entire process, your fellow pledges and those currently in the house will be there to answer questions and help alleviate any potential concerns.
